Drinks and delicacies — these two will always hit all the right notes. They are what we crave for breakfast, the essentials for lunch and on our mind for dinner. Most important of all, they are the must-haves for a little afternoon pick-me-up or midday indulgence session such as high tea. But if you’re a little tired of your usual coffee joints, we’ve curated a roundup of newly-opened cafes that deliver ultimate caffeinated satisfaction along with a side of sweet fulfillment.

Helmed by Dandelion Bake Studio, all you cafe hoppers can get ready to feast your eyes on a wide range of cakes and pastries, including Red Velvet Cake (THB 145) and Toffee Cheesecake studded with caramel-covered macadamia (THB 165). Lemon Sherbet (THB 175), however, is the true show stopper. The icy, lemony dessert is served in a halved lemon shell before getting topped with an afro-like torched meringue.

Truly Scrumptious

Truly Scrumptious serves up incredibly tasty desserts that will drive all you sweet aficionados crazy. Although we are totally wild for their unique noodle-sandwich dish of Mee-Goreng Toastie, we are equally mad for their Cognac Black Beer Cake that has us awestruck with its bitter, brandy-y taste which goes well with the cocoa powder. Indulge also in a slice of their Decadent S’more Pie, if you, too, share the love for the campfire’s staple dessert.

Truly Scrumptious, 197/2 Soi Sukhumvit 49/11, Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok, +662 019 8080
Open: Tue-Fri, 9 am- 5 pm; Sat-Sun, 9:30 am-5:30 pm.
