Arabic Food Festival

When: 6-16 May

Take a pause on Thai food and gorge on a feast of Middle Eastern fare as part of Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok’s International Buffet this month. Whether you’re craving for hearty hummus, a lavish lamb cooked in yoghurt sauce or a scrumptious lamb skewer, the hotel has got it all to cater to your Middle Eastern food cravings. If gorgeous – and good – Italian food served in a smart setting is what you’re after, check out The Italian Job Vol.4 which is an Italian dining pop-up at La Scala hosted by Chef David. This time around, the Italian-born chef is joining hands with Chef Stefano Borra from Enoteca Bangkok to organise the four-hands dinner which will feature seven creative and comfort-filled dishes full of pristine ingredients imported directly from Italy.

Chef Tam X Baladin

When: 13 May

Be warned, this is not your typical pop-up dinner. Chef Tam X Baladin gives a unique spin to an alcohol-pairing dinner by tweaking it into a beer-pairing, cocktail-style feast where guests can mingle around whilst enjoying food and drinks without sitting down throughout the entire meal. Hosted by Pacbev Thailand and SUL Bkk, the event brings together the very first winner of Top Chef Thailand, Chef Chudaree “Tam” Debhakam and the Italian beer brand, Birra Baladin to throw a fun-and-fab banquet in the hip, industrial chic Korean gastro bar where you can down good beer and relish good food until the darkest hour.

Caviar Tasting at White Plate, ICONSIAM

Jewel-like caviar is a real delicacy fit kings and queens. And now that the black have pearls become more and more accessible in the city, you, too, can be a king or queen and indulge in caviar-spiked food. This May, White Plate within ICONSIAM invites you bon vivants over for a caviar tasting where you’ll get to gorge on four caviar-focused dishes paired with special drinks. Bondi celebrity chef, Jesse McTavish, will take some time away from his far-famed North Bondi Fish restaurant this month and embark in Bangkok on a wine-pairing, five-course dinner which will take place at Sweet Poppy, an urban sanctuary making wholesome meals and housing a yoga studio and pop-up events and markets. The menu features the Aussie chef’s signatures like Ceviche with Coconut and Salted Cucumber, Fillet Fish with Tomatoes, Beef Fillet with Wakame Mustard and Chocolate Mousse with Dry Ice Sourdough Ice Cream.
