Some might argue that travelling makes the world go round. Well, it certainly makes our days move faster, with the prospect of new memories keeping us going and glowing with excitement. Even if it is just a quick getaway to an island down south – us Bangkokians are truly lucky it is that simple – it has to be said that a change of scenery and a wealth of new experiences different from your day-to-day is all around good for you – mentally, physically and spiritually.

COMO Point Yamu recently launched its new ‘Phang Nga Bay Experience’, which includes a seven-night stay in one of the resort’s iconic villas, as well as a private Champagne cruise.

One place we’ve got our eye on for you is none other than COMO Point Yamu in Phuket, which, in our opinion, bears some of the best parts of Phuket, much of which can be experienced without even leaving the property. The luxury resort sits on a promontory at the tip of Came Yamu and a stay here could even consist of you doing nothing but looking out to the stunning ocean – you’d still be beyond satisfied, as the 360-degree views of the Andaman’s notorious Phang Nga Bay is enough to leave anyone speechless and doe-eyed.

Getting there is simple, with domestic flights leaving Bangkok daily to Phuket International Airport. Flights also can arrive directly from Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Once you land, it’s about a 25 minute car ride to COMO Point Yamu, which you can organize separately or have the hotel book for you.

Guests are encouraged to tour the luxury hotel‘s surrounding nature by bike

Great lengths have been undertaken to conserve the area for its ecological richness, which makes this a top-notch go-to destination for adventurists and snorkelling enthusiasts looking to take in the best parts of mother nature and her sea.

Interestingly, one of the property’s most unique selling points is its absence of windows in the lobby, its restaurants and the bar, which are all instead largely open spaces. This special feature helps bring the outside environment closer to its guests, dissolving the barriers between the natural and manmade. Drink in the most tremendous vistas of the poolside area, with a 100m infinity pool that makes way for 180-degree views of the pristine beach, Phang Nga Bay and its turquoise waters.
