The holiday season is not only a time that promotes comfort for the heart, but also for the stomach, and that’s for one particular reason: there’s simply no better bonding time than over a great meal. With that in mind, ifc, one of Hong Kong’s top luxury malls, is doing all they can to help you get your festivities in order.

Whether it’s a mouthwatering feast, limited-edition cocktails or sophisticated wine pairing options, scroll down to check out the festive line-up of brunch and dinner menus, along with end-of-year shopping perks that will take you from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and all the way into 2020.

Winter romance at Dear Lilly

Designed by the award-winning Ashley Sutton (who’s also responsible for Ophelia, J.Boroski, Iron Fairies and Dragonfly), Dear Lilly is a restaurant and bar gushing with a romantic ambiance inspired by love stories throughout the centuries. Take your loved one to this enchanting space this holiday season to enjoy the special 4-course Christmas (HK$558 per person) and NYE menus (HK$788 per person) filled with winter delicacies from roast turkey to wild truffles, as you go through extracts from the heart-warming letters sent by soldiers to their sweethearts during World War I.

Innovative dining at Duck & Waffle

The iconic London restaurant Duck & Waffle has prepared a delicious line-up of inventive festive menus, all guaranteed to keep your tastebuds satisfied from Christmas Eve to New Years Day. Start off with the tasting menu on the 24th (HK$680 per person, extra HK$250 for wine pairing), which gives you unique offerings including Irish crab, shredded crab meat with pickled chillies, nori cracker, lime and, of course, the iconic Duck & Waffle. Next, ring in 2020 with the special New Year’s Eve tasting menu (HK$880 per person, extra HK$300 for wine pairing) featuring creative dishes such as the seaweed cracker, oyster emulsion & caviar and venison tartar served with XO mayonnaise, topped off with a spiced pumpkin tart served with milk ice-cream and pumpkin confiture. Wash it down with the Glitzmas, a limited-edition cocktail with a mix of cognac, spiced rum, blackberry red wine reduction and a sprinkle of nutmeg.

Don’t forget to come back and rejuvenate from all the drinking and partying with an eclectic feast on Christmas and New Year Days, with brunch menus (HK$450 per person) that offer the restaurant’s signature favourites such as corn ‘ribs’, grilled 18-hour pork belly, and ‘The Full Elvis’ served and topped with PBJ, caramelised banana and Chantilly cream — a special treat for those with a sweet tooth.

Premium seasonal delights at Mu-ni by La Bombance

An outpost of Tokyo’s Michelin-starred restaurant founded by Chef Makoto Okamoto, Mu-ni by La Bombance lives up to its reputation of providing an innovative take on contemporary Japanese cuisine to give Hong Kong foodies a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

Keeping up with the principle of kaiseki that, of course, involves an ever changing menu of seasonal dishes prepared with superior ingredients, the December offerings will include a 10-course set (HK$1,380 per person; or HK$1,680 for one more special dish) with dishes largely selected from La Bombance’s signature dishes. Fishes will all be flown from the Toyosu Market (the world’s largest wholesale fish and seafood market), while other seafood choices are chilled — never frozen — and imported daily for maximum freshness.
