It’s this time of the year again when we start to see zombies invading the streets and mythical creatures sipping on cocktails at the local bars. As Halloween parties are underway, it’s always a challenge to think of the best costumes and makeup looks to impress the (undead) crowd.

People say that you can be anyone you wish to be, so break free from your comfort zone and let your inner persona shine through. Here are 4 simple looks we love this Halloween.

Space girl

Beside Darwin’s evolution theory, it is believed that we are made of stardust. Inspired by galactic Milky Way, this ‘space girl’ makeup look is the way to go this Halloween. To create the aurora effect, we chose MAC Freshwater (RM 75) and Parfait Amour (RM 75) eyeshadows, the purple shade can be applied on your brows for a matching look. Finish with sprinkles of Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder (RM 103).

Doll face

Bring out the playful side of you with a cheery doll face. This simple Halloween costume is probably the most loved after Harley Quinn’s trending style. For the doll’s innocent look, start off with Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Super-charged Oil-free Foundation (RM230), then highlight your eyes with Sephora Turquoise eyeshadow and liner (RM48) to add on the dazzling effect. Blush up with Tarte Blissful Cheek Stain (RM 122) and complete the look with the sexy heart lips with MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Pickled Plum (RM 78).

David Bowie makeup

We all admire the talented David Bowie and his departure sure left many of us devastated. In memory of his legacy, recreate David Bowie’s spirit with this easy Halloween makeup. All you need is scotch tape and cream face paint. Place the tape in the shape of a lightning bolt, and start filling it in using Moonshot Orange Cream Paint (RM 102). Then remove the tape and outline the edge with MAC Indelibly Blue Fluidline Pen Liner (RM 90).

Pop art

Not only it is a popular Snapchat filter, pop art has always been a sensation in the fashion industry since its emergence in the 1950s. To create the 2D cartoon effect, use Kryolan Faceliner (RM 90). Start with shaping your eyebrows, then outline the nose and the philtrum, and continue to draw the line on your cheeks. As for eyes makeup, you can use MAC pigmented liner Fluidline Pen (RM 90) and highlight with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil (RM 77).
