If a formula works, you stick with it — and that’s precisely what the Puma x Karl Lagerfeld collaboration is all about. Following a highly successful collaboration last year, Puma and Karl Lagerfeld are joining creative forces once again for yet another streetwear collection. This time, Puma has dipped into its archives to reimagine some of its most acclaimed pieces, with a little help from Lagerfeld’s effortless savoir-faire of course.

Here, Puma’s legendary Formstrip is placed under the spotlight, and rightly so, having been one of the most iconic emblems in the sporting industry since it was first introduced in 1958. This fresh interpretation is complemented by new silhouettes, technical innovations, and quality fabrics, ensuring that the contemporary sportswear looks are not without an aesthetic twist that Lagerfeld himself would endorse.

Now that chunky sneakers are back on the streets again, it comes as no surprise that the Puma’s very own retro favourite, the Cell Alien, also gets the Karl Lagerfeld treatment. The sizeable shoe is now available in azure blue with black and dark grey mixed details on the upper, and the white midsoles are accented by punchy red pops of colour.

The Puma Roma too has been given an edgier facelift. For this collaboration, the all-black sneakers are paired with contrasting white laces, more red accents, and the designer’s name strikingly rendered across the platform sole.

These sneakers are statement wardrobe staples on their own, but they’re really best paired with the line’s equally graphic T-shirts, track pants, and ‘90s-approved tracksuits. The ladies will also appreciate the long hoodie that doubles up as a dress for colder days, while the men can look forward to a sporty ensemble of track jackets and fitted pants.

This bold collaboration is now available on both Puma’s and Karl Lagerfeld’s online platforms.
