Whether you lean towards jazz, top 40 hits, or high-octane rock ‘n’ roll, there’s just something about live music that easily elevates a dining experience. A dinner date suddenly becomes a lot more romantic when it’s accompanied by acoustic tunes, while Sunday brunch instantly feels much more luxurious when set against a backdrop of upbeat jazz numbers.
Keeping this in mind, several restaurants around Singapore are paying just as much attention to their music playlists as they are their menus. From getting local bands to showcase their talent, to hosting themed nights that feature different performers every day, these live music venues the likes of Monti and VLV are pulling out all the stops to entertain their guests. And they haven’t neglected their gastronomic offerings either, with delicious options spanning Western, Cantonese and Italian cuisines.
Here are 5 of our favourite places to visit for a sumptuous feast paired with rousing tunes.

On 24 and 25 March, Monti will present a special two-nights only show featuring saxophonist Jakob Dinesen, drummer Chanutr Techatananan, and Monteiro.
