Taking a short break away from regular programming entails some letting loose. It’s only natural to want to shirk the restrictive routines of the everyday and just immerse yourself in your vacation, whatever the duration. The guilt that comes with it, though, might put a damper on things.

The Fullerton Heritage collective has offered a solution with its new Fullerton Wellness Journey programme. The underlying goal is simple: Guilt-free indulgence for a better holiday. In order to ensure the wellness needs of guests are met, the collective has new inclusions to its dining, fitness and spa offerings.

Guests can also head to the gym or pool for an exercise dose.

On the food front, all nine establishments at both Fullerton and Fullerton Bay hotels now have vegetarian and gluten-free dining options. While vegetarian options aren’t hard to come by in Singapore, having gluten-free menus that don’t skimp on flavour provides welcome relief for those who have intolerances.

The Risotto Al Balsamico at The Lighthouse.

We’d recommend trying the Italian vegetarian dishes at Fullerton Hotel’s scenic restaurant, The Lighthouse. Chef Carlo Marengoni’s Burrata Di Andria serves fresh, sweet heirloom tomatoes with a generous hunk of soft burrata cheese. The Risotto Al Balsamico couples perfectly done risotto, aged parmesan and balsamic vinegar for a rich, cheesy treat that can pass for healthy.

As part of the Fullerton Wellness Journey, there are also pampering options like spa treatments that use products from Aromatherapy Associates to invigorate the senses. Give the 90-minute Asian Heritage Signature massage a try. The massage targets all your tense pressure points and soothes them, making you feel brand new right after.

You can’t beat this view for a sun salute.

Guests can also participate in specialised workouts crafted by the Fullerton collective. There are complimentary yoga classes by Under Armour and Outta Hatha Yoga, each with a glorious view of the Singapore River as you find your inner zen. Those that prefer more intensive exercises can opt for the custom running trails along the river or Marina Bay, where wet towels and water will be available at the concierge after completing the run.

The next time you book a stay at the Fullerton hotels, you’ll know you’re not sacrificing your fitness or your capacity for satisfaction.
