After all the hype with their Fragment and Supreme collaborations (with the latter almost verging on a riot), it’s easy to forget that Louis Vuitton is a brand more known for understated elegance. They haven’t forgotten monogram lovers in the Louis Vuitton FW17 releases though, there are bags and fine jewellery still embossed with the brand’s coveted “LV” logo — with a few aesthetic updates.

But keeping up with other savvy fashion houses isn’t easy, and more recently, the French maison launched the Tambour, for those who aren’t just satisfied with a Hermes strap on their Apple Watch.

But we digress. The Louis Vuitton FW17 collection was a symphony of textures, experimental materials, more collaboration (Marc Newson worked on their new rolling luggage), updated designs on old favourites and some #throwbacks. Here are just some of the pieces we’d want to get our hands on.
