Hilton has announced the opening of a breathtaking luxury retreat in the heart of the Indian Ocean — the SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton. Targeted at couples, families and groups seeking a fun island break, the new property is a part of Crossroads Maldives, the country’s only integrated resort.
The hotel is located in the scenic Emboodhoo Lagoon and marks the debut of Curio Collection by Hilton in the region. In fact, this is the fifth Curio Collection by Hilton property in Asia Pacific and the luxury hotel chain’s third in the Maldives.
“For over 20 years, through the many firsts that Hilton has introduced in the Maldives, we have been sparking travelers’ imagination of waking up right above the Indian Ocean, or dining and even sleeping beneath the crystal-blue sea,” said Alan Watts, President, Asia Pacific, Hilton.
An easy 15-minute boat ride from Malé International Airport, the SAii Lagoon Maldives boasts 198 well-appointed and luxurious rooms and villas that reflect the ocean and heritage of the archipelago in their design, with generous use of natural textures and driftwood. This aesthetic extends throughout the lavish retreat, as well.
“The architecture is quirky, and the interiors are daring. And yet, the resort also has a wonderfully inspiring ambience. We want everyone to walk into the resort and instantly feel a sense of excitement and exploration,” said Martin van der Reijden, general manager of SAii Lagoon Maldives and vice president of operations of Crossroads Maldives.
The resort also offers a variety of enticing gourmet options that are showcased through its eclectically charming bars and restaurants serving delectable food and beverages. Add to this an array of water sports and recreational facilities, and you’ll discover that the SAii Lagoon Maldives is the perfect getaway in a sublimely beautiful setting.
