Keong Saik is characterised by the merger between heritage charm and contemporary concepts, which makes it a fitting home for the new Hotel Soloha, a 45-room boutique hotel designed as a homage to Singapore’s multi-faceted identity.
Designed by Avalon Collective, the intimate space is a visual jungle of colour. A walk through the neon-lit reception space already teases to everything else that comes after — bold hues, punchy tropical motifs that nod to Singapore’s sprawling jungles, and more statement-making decor that bears subtle references to our national history.
There are five room categories spanning Standard, Superior, Deluxe, Loft and Suite. The rooms are all compact but designed with the kind of space-saving and modular innovations you’d expect from Japanese interiors. All come fitted with striking artwork, contrasted by sleek marble and dark wood for a calm departure from the loud common areas.
While the Standard and Superior rooms best accommodate business travellers or short-term stays, those looking towards Hotel Soloha for the staycation experience ought to book out the spacious Loft with its high ceilings, or the Outdoor Suite, complete with a mezzanine that houses an outdoor bathtub for quality rest and relaxation time.
Beyond the rooms, the hotel also has a bar at the reception area for guests to unwind at before taking on all that the vibrant Keong Saik district has to offer.
Hotel Soloha is slated to open 16 August 2019, with bookings currently available.
