From Park Hyatt Bangkok to Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Andaz Singapore to Alila Yangshuo, the hotels that form Hyatt Hotels Corporation‘s luxury portfolio are amongst our favourite in Asia. That’s why we’re excited about Hyatt’s news that it will add a staggering 21 new hotels and resorts across the Asia Pacific region to its luxury portfolio, with plans to open all of them by the end of 2020. When all is said and done, that will boost Hyatt’s luxury portfolio in Asia by more than 25%.

The aggressive expansion will include seven new Park Hyatt properties, a record number for a brand that usually averages one new hotel every year. Andaz, known for offering guests immersive cultural experiences, will double its Asian footprint with six new properties in cities such as Seoul and Shenzhen, and resort destinations such as Bali and Sanya. Grand Hyatt, meanwhile, will continue its momentum with six new openings in emerging cities in China, India and South Korea, amongst other locations.

Last but not least, Alila — which became part of the Hyatt family when its parent company, Two Roads Hospitality, was acquired in 2018 — is set to debut two new resorts: one in Malaysia and the other in Oman. These two resorts will reflect the brand’s mix of contemporary expressions of traditions, authentic experiences and sustainability.
